TicTalk Spanish® was born from a deeply personal mission, to raise my son bilingually. As a Colombian native, Spanish is my heart language, and my husband, though American, spent years living in Mexico and proudly calls himself Latino de corazón. From the beginning, we were committed to making Spanish a central part of our son Paul Santiago’s life.

But even in a bilingual home, we quickly realized that love and intention weren’t enough. We needed something more, an immersive, consistent, and joyful way to support language development. I also saw many of our English speaking friends longing to give their children the same gift: the opportunity to learn a second language early in life.

Motivated by this shared dream, in 2005 I enrolled in a Master’s program in Bilingual Education at Arizona State University and focused my thesis on early language acquisition. Out of this research and passion, TicTalk Spanish® was born.

What started as a small aftercare and “Parent & Me” class quickly blossomed into a beloved program serving families across the Phoenix area and beyond. Hundreds of families joined us, united by the desire to gift their children the confidence, connection, and cultural appreciation that bilingualism brings.

As excitement grew, so did the dream. In 2010, with the support of passionate educators and devoted families, we opened “Little Big Minds” Spanish Immersion Preschool, a fully immersive early learning experience that grew to five thriving campuses and became a leader in Spanish immersion education across the Valley.

In 2023, “Little Big Minds” was proudly acquired by a national education company dedicated to continuing the program’s mission and expanding access to high quality, immersive bilingual education.

And now, I’m so proud to relaunch the program that started it all, TicTalk Spanish®, refreshed with updated resources, a proven curriculum, and the same heart led mission:
